Danielle Vaughan

Danielle Vaughan is a mixed media artist based in Leicestershire. Over the years, she has developed a bit of a reputation that she is a Womble (For those of you under 45 a Womble is a furry creature that walks round Wimbledon Common tidying up after people who litter and repurposing their finds).

Danielle finds nothing quite as satisfying as being creative with other people’s unwanted stuff. Or as she likes to say she “Turns Trash into Treasure.” In particular Danielle enjoys creating portraits from old magazines.

Danielle will be facilitating workshops with a sewing group at Wesley Hall Community Centre to create a large-scale textiles work for the Leicester Textiles Festival, 16th-24th September 2023. This will be displayed on Jubilee Square with the other Community Yarn Bomb installations.
