Leicester Textile Festival 2023 will be a unique opportunity to highlight and raise awareness of Leicester’s textile past, present and future. We have already had so much interest and support from Leicester-based organisations and textiles related industries but for the festival to reach its greatest potential, it needs the backing and involvement of the Leicester community, which is why we would love for you to be a part of it!
Ways to get involved:
- Volunteer
- Create a basket for Leicester Look Up!
- Apply to host a Community Yarn Bomb
- Apply for The Textile Open
- Create something of your choice for the City Threads Textile Trail
- Submit a square to the City Quilt
- Sponsorship of event / individual textile artworks – If you think that your business or organisation would like to sponsor the festival, or an individual event or artwork within the festival, we would love to hear from you! Gaining extra funding would mean that we can make the festival even more exciting and support more people to get involved. - Support us with a venue – Are you interested in hosting a fun and vibrant display during the Leicester Textiles Festival? We are seeking a variety of spaces, such as cafes and shops, to showcase textile based artworks. If you interested in being a part of the city-wide textiles art trail and opening your doors to our talented artists and crafters, please get in touch at the email address below.
- Share your skills – If you have a particular skill in textiles that you would like to share with others during the festival, please get in touch at the email address below.
- In-kind donations of goods/services – If you think that your business or organisation could support the festival through offering in-kind donations of goods or services such as use of a van, use of a space or technical equipment, we would love to hear from you! That extra help would mean that we can make the festival even more exciting and support more people to get involved. - Link your textiles event to the festival – There are already many exciting textiles groups and organisations in Leicester and the surrounding county. We would be delighted to promote what everyone else is doing during the festival period.
