Bean-Mhi Berriman of Mi Lunita, is a self-taught illustrator and textiles artist from Leicester, who has a passion for printing, natural dying and free form patchwork. For the Community Yarn Bomb project, Bean-Mhi will be working with a small and long-standing community group from the African Caribbean Centre in Leicester. As her own work derives from an openness to self-acceptance and trying to spread a bit of love, she will be encouraging the group to make work based on what makes them feel joy. Bean-Mhi looks forward to collaborating with the group, sharing stories and exploring and creating moments of connection along the way.
